Want to have your own boutique?

At Mee, we have a concession called Lux selling shoes and bags, a boutique within a boutique if you like. Lux has been at Mee for two years and it has worked really well. Because Lux is now well-established, it will soon be moving to its own premises in Bath, and as a result, we're looking for a replacement concession.

We're looking for anything that compliments Mee - shoes, handbags, beauty products, nails, even clothing or lingerie it it's right. The concession works on a commission basis, so there is little risk involved for the concessionee. There are very few overheads (apart from staff, insurance, telephone, etc), and an established customer-base and database. For a new business starting out, or for somebody that wants to test the Bath market, it's an incredible opportunity not to be missed.

If you would like any more information, please email us at mee@meeboutique.com.

Bumper bargains!

'Next season' are the words on all our lips here at Mee, so to make way for all the fabulous new things we have coming in, we've slashed the prices of our summer stock to 70% off. Now that's what we call a bargain!

So if you're off on your hols, there's still time to grab those sun dresses, bikinis, and kaftans - the perfect summer wardrobe.

But be quick, as customers are literally leaving the boutique with armfuls of goodies!

Uggs anyone?

Well, we've resigned ourselves to the fact that our summer has finished before it has even begun. According to my hairdresser, this depressing weather is set to continue well into August, so we'd better get used to it.

The bad news is that it's wet and cold and it's nearly the middle of July. The good news is that Lux, our shoe concession at Mee, is due its first delivery of Uggs either today or on Monday. With a waiting list as long as your arm, even in July, if you hurry you may be able to get your hands on them before they sell out.

Wearing your Uggs with a summer dress may not be what you were expecting to wear this summer, but at least you'll be paying hommage to what little sunshine we may have, and your feet will be warm as toast.

And the other essential accessory this summer? An umbrella of course!

It's sale time... again

Here at Mee, we're not big fans of the SALE. All our beautiful summer clothes being slashed in price at the beginning of July, and it feels our summer hasn't even begun. Kaftans, sundresses, silk tea dresses, flip flops. It just seems such a shame.

Great for the customer of course, until, that is, she wants kaftans and summer dresses for her holiday in August, we've sold out, and the boutique is filling up with cosy knits, wool trousers, winter dresses, and Uggs.

We don't choose to go on SALE now because we want to. Oh no. We are completely dictated to by the high street. We hold out for as long as we can, but our customers are expectant, and when even Harvey Nichols and Selfidges follow suit, where does that leave us?

So while the Mee girls are marking down the summer dresses now, and the weather appears to be on the up, please don't expect to be buying summer sandals at the end of August, because it will be sheepskin boots or nothing!
